Itinerary tips

• 1Plan for at least 2-3 hours on the water to explore the northern inlets and rock formations.
• 2Pay the $15-$20 daily vehicle entry fee at the main gate or use a self-service kiosk if the booth is closed.
• 3Arrive before 9:00 AM to secure a parking spot at the West Overlook or the boat ramp during peak summer weekends.
• 4Rent boards directly from the onsite vendor, DIG Paddlesports, located right on the beach for convenience.
• 5Pack a dry bag for your phone and plenty of water, as the reflection off the red cliffs intensifies the desert heat.
• 6Head to the northern end of the reservoir to find the calmest wake-free zones away from motorized boats.
