Visit Natural Bridges National Monument

OutdoorEasySpringSummerFall

Discover three impressive natural bridges carved by water, accessible via scenic overlooks and hiking trails. A quieter alternative to more crowded parks.

Itinerary tips

  • 1Dedicate three to four hours to complete the nine-mile Bridge View Drive loop, which provides quick access to all three major bridges.
  • 2Carry at least two liters of water and wear sturdy hiking boots if you intend to hike down to the canyon floor via the steep, rugged trails.
  • 3Download offline maps before leaving Blanding or Fry Canyon, as cellular service is non-existent within the monument boundaries.
  • 4Pack a picnic lunch to eat at the designated tables near the visitor center, as there are no food services available inside the park.
  • 5Stay after sunset to experience the park's Gold-Tier International Dark Sky status, which offers some of the best stargazing in the United States.
  • 6Visit the solar power array near the entrance to see one of the largest systems of its kind powering a national park facility.
