Hike to Morning Glory Natural Bridge
Follow the sandy bottom of Grandstaff Canyon through a perennial stream to reach one of the longest natural spans in the United States.
Itinerary tips
- 1Plan for a 4-mile round trip that typically takes between 2 to 3 hours to complete at a steady pace.
- 2Wear water-friendly footwear or waterproof boots because the trail requires several shallow crossings of the perennial stream.
- 3Arrive at the Grandstaff Trailhead before 8:00 AM as the parking lot is small and fills up quickly every morning.
- 4Pack at least two liters of water and salty snacks, even though the canyon offers more shade than most Moab trails.
- 5Bring a leash for your dog, as this is one of the few popular trails in the area that allows canine companions.
- 6Look up once you reach the end of the canyon to appreciate the span, as the bridge sits flush against the cliff wall.
