Hike the Corona Arch Trail
Walk across expansive slickrock and use built-in cables to reach a massive freestanding arch that rivals anything found inside the National Parks.
Itinerary tips
- 1Plan for a 3-mile round trip and allow at least 2 hours to explore the arch base and adjacent Bowtie Arch.
- 2Drive 10 miles north of Moab on Highway 191 and turn left onto Potash Road (Hwy 279) to reach the trailhead.
- 3Wear footwear with excellent grip to safely navigate the steep slickrock sections assisted by the built-in safety cables and ladder.
- 4Carry at least 2 liters of water per person as the trail is fully exposed to the sun with virtually no shade.
- 5Bring a leash for your dog, as this is one of the few world-class arch trails in the area that is pet-friendly.
- 6Download an offline map before arriving since cell service is unreliable once you enter the canyon corridor.
