Drive the Cascade Springs Scenic Loop
Navigate the winding paved road between Midway and American Fork Canyon to see terraced natural springs surrounded by vibrant October scrub oak.
Itinerary tips
- 1Plan for at least 2 to 3 hours to complete the full loop including time for walking the boardwalks.
- 2Download offline maps before leaving Midway as cellular service is nonexistent along most of the Alpine Loop.
- 3Purchase a $10 American Fork Canyon digital pass in advance or use a National Parks (America the Beautiful) pass for parking.
- 4Pack a light jacket even in summer because the elevation gain brings significantly cooler temperatures than the valley floor.
- 5Stick to the Lower Cascade Springs parking lot for the easiest access to the accessible boardwalk systems.
- 6Combine this drive with a stop at the summit of Pine Canyon Road for panoramic views of Mount Timpanogos.
