• 1Plan for about 60 to 90 minutes to complete the 1.5-mile round-trip hike and take photos of the primary formations.
• 2Look for the trailhead directly off Highway 89, located about 45 miles east of Kanab or 27 miles west of Page.
• 3Pack at least one liter of water per person as there is absolutely no shade along the sandy wash trail.
• 4Use the small, gravel parking lot on the north side of the highway, which requires no fee or advanced permit.
• 5Wear closed-toe shoes with good traction to safely scramble around the slickrock sections near the hoodoos.
• 6Walk past the first red hoodoo to find the more secluded white 'ghost' hoodoos tucked further back in the alcoves.
