Tour the American West Heritage Center
Step back into the 19th century at this living history farm, featuring mountain man encampments and pioneer cider pressing in September.
Itinerary tips
- 1Plan to spend at least 3 to 4 hours to fully explore the different historical sites and interact with the costumed interpreters.
- 2Wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes as the center consists of 160 acres of dirt paths and farm terrain.
- 3Bring a hat and sunscreen because most of the pioneer farm and mountain man camp areas offer very limited shade.
- 4Park for free in the large gravel lot located directly off Highway 89/91 in Wellsville, just south of Logan.
- 5Check the daily schedule upon arrival to catch specific live demonstrations like blacksmithing or leatherworking that happen at set intervals.
