Snowshoe Wasatch Mountain State Park

OutdoorModerateWinter

Strap on snowshoes and explore tranquil winter landscapes. Follow groomed trails or break your own path through fresh powder.

Itinerary tips

  • 1Purchase a $10 day-use pass at the Visitor Center or use your Utah State Parks annual pass for entry.
  • 2Rent high-quality snowshoes and poles directly at the park’s Visitor Center if you do not have your own.
  • 3Plan for at least 2-3 hours to explore the Huber Grove or WOW trail systems depending on your endurance.
  • 4Dress in moisture-wicking synthetic layers and waterproof boots to stay dry while breaking trail in deep powder.
  • 5Arrive before 10:00 AM on weekends to secure a parking spot at the popular Pine Creek campground trailhead.
  • 6Download an offline map of the park trails as cell service can be intermittent once you move into the higher pines.
