Salt Lake City is the gateway: an international airport 25 minutes from four ski resorts, a food scene that has quietly gotten very good, and canyons that start where the neighborhoods end. Most Utah trips start and end here.
Nearly every Utah trip starts at Salt Lake City International Airport, which is roughly 35 minutes from our Park City homes and about 15 minutes from downtown. If your flight lands late or leaves early, a night in the city is an easy add-on.
Don't miss: Temple Square, the Natural History Museum of Utah, Liberty Park, and the drives up Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons for Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude.
Good to know: Four world-class ski resorts sit within an hour of the airport, so a Park City stay can easily include a Cottonwood day. Winter canyon roads require traction laws — check conditions before you drive up.
